Hello everyone, I must apologize for my absence. My schedule has been kinda crazy (or really not at all and I've just been extremely lazy) You can choose which one you want to believe haha. So because of my laziness craziness, I didn't add my usual Monday post. I'm sorry Julia for leading you astray! So pretend like today is Monday and here's another beautiful girl that I adore. I love her sense of style, she is very polished and colorful. I hope you all go and check this cute little lady out! http://www.juliettascloset.blogspot.com/
Thank you Julia for opening yourself up and answering all of my questions. It was great getting to know you better and chatting through email.
How would you describe your personal style?
Vintage chic with a modern twist
What is the one FASHION thing you can't leave the house with out? (accessories, skinny belt, heels, underwear??)
haha this question made me laugh! Well yes, underwear is a MUST. But I feel truly bare without a belt, a watch, and most of all I need to LOVE my outfit, or else I will feel awkward and uncomfortable.
Who are your fashion icons?
Audrey Hepburn, Olivia Palermo, Rachel Parcell (in order of importance)
What are your favorite places to shop?
H&M, Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack, Zara, consignment stores.
What styling tips could you offer someone to be more confident?
Take a chance! Experiment with color and accessories; they will allow you to be creative and expand your fashion vision, which in turn will expand your confidence. Be comfortable in your skin, no matter what people say.
What trend are you excited for this Spring?
Pantone has released their spring 2013 colors, and I am loving them! I can't wait to incorporate more emerald, African violet, and tender shoots into my wardrobe. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, head over to pantone.com and check out their array of beautiful spring 2013 colors. I am also excited to wear sundresses with tights and brimmed hats.
What made you want to start a blog?
Since I was young, I have had a strong interest in fashion. While other girls were boy-crazy and checking out the latest celebrity gossip, I was making dresses for my dolls and checking out the latest Vogue. My mother and sisters have had a strong influence on my personal fashion, as they have the same interest and encouraged me to try new things and pursue my passion for fashion. Fashion is a part of me, it is who I am. I started this blog at the urging of family and friends, and it is a way of further expressing myself. Besides my personal love for all things fashion, I hope one day to be discovered and make a career in the fashion world.
Who takes your pictures?
Ahh, the tedious job of taking my pictures... My fabulous mother & beautiful sister Jennifer mostly take my pictures, with the occasional sibling or friend, to which I am eternally grateful.
What advice could you give to someone just starting their fashion blog?
Blog about what you love, and express yourself! There are so many blogs out there, but make yours stand out by being true to yourself instead of following the latest fashion.
And the most important question of all: What do you like to do for fun? Any hobbies? Family life?
I love to spend time with my extensive family and friends. I am a sporty girl and enjoy many physical activities, such as volleyball, swimming, soccer and ice skating. I am very family-orientated, and come from a family of 13 so there is always something going on.
I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy blogging!
Thanks to Meg Kerr of The Polished Monkey for being so encouraging on my blog! It's people like you that make blogging worthwhile.
