So this was a very interesting photo shoot, let me tell ya! I was at work and needed to take pictures for my blog. So we went into the hall to take them and as we were about to start a guy walks around the corner, which instantly made me nervous because I hate taking my pictures in public or around anyone that isn't the photographer. So I was about to do the normal thing and act like we weren't taking my picture when he says "I can take a picture of you two." Then Rachel lets him know she is just taking pictures of me. "Do you want to use my studio? I have a green screen." So naturally we walk into their office space and go into this room (which had video equipment and a massage chair in it also...creepy...) and there is a large green screen and professional lights. Now when I get nervous, my entire chest turns red and blotchy like I'm breaking out in hives, so I was very grateful that this shirt had a high neckline. I'm in front of this guy I've never met as he's standing over Rachel with the lights and she's snapping my pictures. Sounds really cool right? Well, I thought so too until I got home and couldn't think for the life of me what to change the background to. I handed it to my husband who of course put me on Mt.Everest, the beach, and the Millennial Falcon. Then he tried more serious things like a brick wall and a plain wall. Nothing looked right. So I just said, put me in front of a brown wall like the one I was standing by in the first place. So here we are: Cardboard cut-out Megan. Enough talking, here are the pictures. I really only like this first one. The others you can totally tell it's Photoshopped. I had more pictures too, but it took too much time.
Have you had any experience with a Green Screen? Any suggestions? I would love to hear them!
Another awkward public photo:
Last Picture - Can you tell my chest is blotchy? It's all I can see!

I sure can't tell that your chest is blotchy. I more than likely would have been the exact same way. I make sure there is no one in sight when I'm taking my blog photos. I don't even use a photographer. Just me, my iPhone, and a mini tripod. :)
ReplyDeleteBut back to you: this is a great look. I love the pairing of the stripes of your shirt, and the polka dots on your tights. Super cute!
